Horror Movie A Day — ... alerted me to this a little while ago: Roger Ebert's Last House review. In the 5th paragraph, you will notice that he singles out HMAD's review (as it was the only one online at the time) when making a point about rape scenes in films. Now, he seemingly missed the point I was making (not that the RAPE was tone down, but everything ELSE was, which made the rape scene more powerful, and thus HARDER to sit through and also easier to justify the parents' actions), but I'll chalk that up to my poor writing skills. ...
