JD announces TAG Records, the new venture between Island Def Jam and Proctor & Gamble. Like Jordan I'm not really feeling this move. What exactly does this mean? ... get this scented cashmoney and use it to promote their records, which, if they’re good will still be downloaded, and if they’re not good will still not sell. So the real winner here is Def Jam, who no longer has to spend marketing money on a shrinking return model……or go through the hassle of not-spending marketing money and hearing all the hemming and hawing from angry rappers with Bentleys that need new shoes (read: Beans).
