humano I'm sure it's going to be an epic work of mindblowing genius that will rival Ben-Hur in its (a) historical relevance and (b) political undertones. Except that it's going to suck. -

Vin Diesel to Direct Fast and the Furious Prequel
/Film —
Vin Diesel revealed to ComingSoon that he is directing a 20-minute prequel to the fourth Fast and the Furious movie. Diesel will also star in the prequel alongside Michelle Rodriguez and Sung Kang. No word on how this will connect, if at all, with the earlier films or where it will be released. Maybe it will be included on a DVD re-release of “the original trilogy”. Chances are it can’t be worse than 2 Fast 2 Furious. This isn’t Diesel’s first time in the director’s chair. He helmed and starred in a short film ...

Fast and the Furious 4 directed by Diesel
Filmstalker —
VinDiesel-PaulWalker.jpg Vin Diesel is directing a fourth Fast and the Furious film, even before the third film has even been released. This fourth film will be a prequel to the third film, Fast and Furious. However there's something worth noting, this is only a twenty minute short film, and as yet we don't know how the film will be shown. My guess is that this will be for a DVD extra, but the interesting thing to consider is that if Vin Diesel ...

Vin Diesel to Direct Fast and Furious Sequel Prequel [In Production]
Film School Rejects —
Vin Diesel is in New York doing press for the pretty cool looking Babylon A.D. and he shared an interesting bit of news with ComingSoon.net regarding another upcoming project. He announced he’ll be directing a twenty minute prequel to next year’s Fast and Furious, which itself is the third sequel to The Fast and the Furious. Technically, the twenty minute short will also be a sequel to the 2001 original, so I’ve decided to refer to it henceforth as a sprequel.
The untitled short will star Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, both reprising their roles from the ...

Filed under: Action, Universal, Movie Marketing, Remakes and SequelsWere you out there feeling like there were still just too many unanswered questions in The Fast and the Furious franchise? Okay, probably not, because that's like asking for CliffsNotes for an episode of The Hills. But, I guess somebody out there felt there was some explaining to do, because Coming Soon reports that Vin Diesel (who plays muscle car driver extraordinaire, Dominic Torretto) will be directing a 20-minute prequel to the upcoming Fast and Furious. Bizarre casting news from Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglorious Bastards” (but not really that bizarre when you consider its the guy who gave new life to John Travolta’s dead career): Mike Myers will play British military mastermind General Ed Fenech in QT’s much-anticipated World War II mercenary pic. That’s probably the best news Myers could have after that whole “Love Guru” fiasco. Also in is Samm Levine, whom you probably don’t know or care about unless you watched one of the greatest shows ever on TV, “Freaks and Geeks.” For those that do, ...
