... or makeup or production design of 2009 then that's fine, but why not tell a NEW Freddy story using said updated filmmaking techniques? That's what's why us movie nerds immediately hate any new remake that is announced. Not only are there WAY too many being made nowadays, but Hollywood doesn't try to do anything new with the story just with the technology, and that's what makes it pointless.
