... A news conference and live performance from Carly and the band is reportedly scheduled for today. Stay tuned for news about that.
UPDATED: I added video from today’s press conference (via Idoltracker) where the band performed their single “Bury Me Alive”. Good luck to Carly emerging from the shadow of Amy Lee. The song sounds very Evanescence-ish.

... [image] Last week I mentioned that Carly Smithson (AI 7) was joining the ex members of Evanesence to form a new band called The Fallen (or We Are the Fallen? Apparently that’s the actual band name, hmm). There were major technical difficulties this morning when their single was set to debut on their official website, but you can stream the whole song, Bury Me Alive, at the bands myspace page . Basically, if you liked Evanesence, you’ll enjoy the song. If you didn’t like Evanesence, well, too bad. This pretty much picks up where “Fallen”, their first album, left off. I like ...

... the stage at SIR in Hollywood and performed two songs—their first single “Bury Me Alive” and Evanescence’s “Going Under.” Smithson gave Amy Lee of Evanescence a run for her money. While “Bury Me Alive” had a similar sound to Evanescence material, it was performed flawlessly. Smithson, clad in all black and combat boots, reached every note effortlessly. Both catchy and intense, “Bury Me Alive” is a hit in the making. Hear the song on the band's official myspace: http://www.myspace.com/wearethefallen Videos and photos in the cut: Source: ...

... Carly Smithson, has a myspace page where you can listen to their single "Bury Me Alive." So if you weren't one of the first 100,000 people to register on their site yesterday (and even if you are, because we still haven't gotten our emails yet) head on over to their myspace page and listen to the song there. I like the song, by the way. It is reminiscent of "Bring Me to Life" but not a copycat song. Carly sounds great and I could see it being a radio hit.

Carly Smithson in “We Are The Fallen” – What Do You Think?
Idol Stalker —
... Have you had a chance to listen to their first single “Bury Me Alive”? If not, you can go and listen to it on their MySpace page (or listen to a live performance below). Before I go any further, I’d like to say that I am happy for Carly and she does fit this genre and style of music. However, this song sounds too much like something Evanescence would release and, as a result, I feel that Carly is going to have to endure endless comparisons to Amy Lee who, I believe, is an incredible singer. It’s not even just the song, ...

... Her other work includes performing backing vocals on Celine Dion’s 2007 album Taking Chances and recording tracks for Ben Moody’s recently-released solo debut All For This. Hana is also the first artist signed to Ben Moody's label FNR Records. (For those of you who don't know who Ben Moody is, he is the guy who founded Evanescence.) In addition, Hana will be the opening act this fall for Moody’s (and American Idol alumnus Carly Smithson’s) new band, We Are the Fallen. Check out her single "Need" right here: ...
