A gay couple in New York City managed to get a marriage license OK'd by the state of New York, even though gay marriage is illegal in the state, but rather than raise a giant whiny fuss, the New York Post viewed this opportunity for what it was - A chance for an awesomely ridiculous front-page headline:
See? That wasn't so bad, was it, Post? Gay couple gets married, you get to make a "dude" pun, and even though it's illegal, no one gets hurt and no one's sanctity of marriage is tainted. I think we've reached the perfect compromise.
