The viral marketing campaign for The Dark Knight was in full swing today with tons of people taking part in a huge scavenger hunt…which led us nowhere.
After all was said and done, we found ourselves directed to this website with this image on there.
I feel cheated. I don’t know about the rest of you, but after all of this went down today I was really expecting to see a trailer tonight. Now it looks like we are going to have to wait until Sunday…or until someone that was lucky enough to get their hands on it ...

The viral puppets were then led on a scavenger hunt around their locales until they ended up at a movie theater, where they were shown the brand new movie trailer that was previously shown to audiences at the New York Comic Con. It was a trailer that we expected to have online this evening. Unfortunately, we had no such luck, so to speak.
After a few more online games via the WhySoSerious site, we ended up on another page (found here), where we found the following:
And that, unfortunately, is where I ...

The Joker's Defaced Dark Knight Trailer!
Published 4/30/2008 by Alex Billington at FirstShowing.net
... on Monday for The Dark Knight viral, you may have heard that one winner in each of the 12 cities received an actual 35mm copy of the new trailer. Besides being a pretty damn nifty gift, given studios usually never let anyone keep any actual film prints, everyone was excited that it featured the awesome new trailer. Unfortunately we won't be able to see a high res version of that new trailer until Sunday, however something interesting was discovered on the reels - every last frame has been defaced by the Joker! ...

... The new step is another branching off of WhySoSerious.com, this time titled Happy Trails. The page features a classified ad torn from the Gotham Times and re-done Joker-style with the promise that an all-new model would be debuting this Sunday. That makes sense in terms of a release of the trailer, which is said to be debuting theatrically in front of this weekend’s Iron Man. So we’ll just have to wait until then since, as I’ve stated before, I don’t post cellphone footage for various reasons. ...

My guess they may not be old enough to attend my 21 and over theaters . Oh, and The Dark Knight is PG-13 and has " some menace " but not a lot. Iron Man is dominating the reviews and the box-office . The Dark Knight trailer should be here any second . Then there was a new Indy 4 trailer , a new Hulk trailer , ...

... Dent says, “You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” As we’ve said before, while the story line of The Joker is going to be the main draw of this film, it is only the appetizer — the Harvey Dent / Two Face storyline is the main course, one that will lead us into the third and final film in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy. But that is all a discussion for another day. For now, enjoy the trailer above or head over to WhySoSerious.com/happytrails to download it in high definition. ...
