"Hancock" Already Killing It At The Box Office

Hollywood uberreporter Nikki Finke is reporting that "Hancock" has already made $7 million off its extremely limited Tuesday night showings (two shows at each of the 3,680 theaters showing it). This is huge. How huge? In comparison, "Wall-E" made $7.7 million from the entire day of screenings and "Iron Man," took in $5 million from the few Tuesday night shows before its Wednesday premier). ...
So much for "Bad" reviews: "Hancock" Soars...

... SOURCE I saw it last night. Sure it is not "The Dark Knight", but it also wasn't the huge trainwreck people are making it out to be. It was entertaining. And at least "Hancock" didn't feature a scene where he miraculously survives an atomic explosion by hiding in a fridge.

As you probably know by now, Will Smith seems to own the July 4th weekend for movie releases.
His Independence Day, Men In Black, and Men In Black 2 movies have netted millions over the holiday weekend.
So, it's no shocker that his latest film, Hancock, is out this July 4th as well.
The movie is already off to a good start and its expected to make over $100 mill this weekend.
Unfortunately for all those involved, the movie is getting shiteous reviews!
