Rosie O’Donnell may have left The View , but she won’t stop talking about it. Or so said Barbara Walters on Thursday during her morning show. “There are some people who have done this show and then for years feel they have to dump on it, maybe for their own publicity,” Walters said. According to the New York Post , Walters’ statements came one day after O’Donnell’s remarks in a telephone news conference to promote her new variety show, which will premiere on NBC on Nov. 26. “You know, we’re very proud of some of our alumna,” Walters said. She mentioned Meredith Vieira , who has gone on to host The Today Show , and Lisa Ling . But as for the hostility between her and O’Donnell, Walters said: “I resent it. Rosie O'Donnell isn't done dissing "The View." Last night on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien", Rosie couldn't keep her mouth shut when it came to Barbara Walters and her co-hosts. O'Donnell, sarcastically, informed O'Brien she "didn't have a career before the show" and she is "very thankful" for the boost the show gave her career. Before her brief stint Walter's ABC talk show, Rosie won multiple Emmys for her own "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." The days of flying Koosh balls and The Queen of Nice are long gone. The root of this whole beef? Babs is angry over Rosie's claims that Walters sugarcoats the relationships between the ladies of "The View." Rosie told Conan, "She now loaths me. I still do enjoy her... I'm not sure I'm going to be a guest on that show again."

Barbara took aim at the former host in the show opening in an apparent response to Rosie's negative comments on Wednesday, noting that some past hosts had the tendency "to dump on [the show], maybe for their own publicity." Rosie responded to Barbara with a new video on her blog titled "Lady," which opens with a happy photo of herself with Barbara from last week, dated November 13, 2008.
