Did 30 Rock's McFlurry Praise Cross the Line?
Vulture —

However, we didn't anticipate that said envelope-pushing would bear down on us so quickly. In last night's 30 Rock — a show that, as our own Emily Nussbaum has already pointed out, has shown itself to be more than willing to work advertiser's messages into its plotlines — Jack Donaghy and his spicy Latino lover, Elisa, not only found themselves effusively praising McFlurrys ("the world's greatest ...

Just call him Jon Hammmmmmmmmmmm! But you gotta know that Liz is gonna screw this up. And, she is currently one of only two humans beings on the planet that knows her new fella's sister is really his Mom. And I think the baking pediatrician Dr. Drew will handle the news poorly. Well, wouldn't you? Poor Liz.She just sucks at this. I so empathize. I love those glasses he's wearing. Very David Tennant.
Also, in the latest Ask Tina clip, she's right about this donut she's talking about, it's remarkably good. I know my donuts. I would have posted after the jump as well, but some brainiac ...

Food and music are the two great loves of most people I know. Strangely, though, there seem to be very few songs written about food, perhaps because people are too busy eating it-- or, if you're Tina Fey, working it into the plotlines of your amazing and wonderful and hilarious television show ...
Jon Hamm: Your 2008-09 TV MVP
From Inside the Box —
Jonhamm_15thannualsagawards_240 I know we've got a few months to go yet, but I'm ready to close the voting for the 2008-09 television MVP award and just give it to Jon Hamm . And yes, that's an entirely made-up award that I kind of just thought of, but hear me out for a minute. Mad Men , we know about. As brooding ad man Don Draper, Hamm has the inner torment and thousand-word facial expressions of a man who's figuring out he doesn't want what he's supposed to want down cold. Since Mad Men ended its second season, though, Hamm has been showing off some impressive comedy chops. He hosted one of the better Saturday Night Live episodes of the season ...
