I went to see Terminator: Salvation this weekend
and can pretty much sum it up with “Transformers
meets The Road Warrior.” The effects are great and the movie is entertaining enough to justify an $8 ticket, just don’t expect anything more than that.

It's just another Terminator Salvation TV spot, right? Wrong . This one features a few glimpses of the CGI Arnold Schwarzenegger, who sorta resembles a pink version of the CGI Hulk. Was Arnie ever that broad, even back in '84? While it doesn't look entirely photorealistic, it doesn't look too bad. It probably would have been twice as good if the real Arnie had agreed to do some motion-capture for McG. But, in context it probably works fine as pure-CGI. Of course, it's tantalizing to imagine what might be achieved in 10 years time with such effects. Will Terminator 6 have a digital-Arnie as a prominent character?
