In what has turned out to be an odd marketing ploy with a lifespan of a mere two weeks, Microsoft has decided to pull the plug on the ads featuring Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates “relating to average people”. This is clearly a case where Microsoft just felt the need to grab some headlines for a few weeks. In that effort, I offer up a big congrats to the standard oil-esque software omnipus (that’s octopus with infinite legs). But was this originally inteded to be a short-run two week campaign?
