Britney Spears has added to her legal woes after reportedly causing a three-car pile-up on Los Angeles' Ventura Freeway. The pop superstar went for an evening spin in her Mercedes with her bodyguard on Saturday (12Apr08) and accidentally bumped another motorist in heavy traffic on her way home, according to reports. The car she rear-ended hit the vehicle in front. All three cars were pulled over by police at a nearby gas station, where the authorities tested to see if Spears had been drinking, according to an eyewitness. Britney Spears had been doing so good with her dad. She has stayed out of the headlines, got to see her kids, and was even earning a few bucks. Last night that all ended as Britney decided to play bumper cars on the Los Angeles Freeway.
Spears was in stop-and-go traffic when her car struck a 2006 Nissan in front of her that had stopped. The Nissan then pushed forward into another vehicle. No damage was noted to any of the vehicles.
The CHP took a report and no one was cited.
