Trailering: "Somers Town," "The Brothers Bloom."
Published 7/24/2008 by Alison Willmore at IFC: Indie Eye
There's a trailer up for Shane Meadows' sublimely small-scale "Somers Town" here. Here's my review of the film from Tribeca -- for my money, it's even better than Meadows' last, "This is England," taking up again with that film's lead and great discovery, Thomas Turgoose. No U.S. distribution in sight, alas.
And here's a trailer to "The Brothers Bloom," Rian Johnson's follow-up to "Brick," with Adrien Brody and Mark Ruffalo as a pair of con men, Rachel Weisz as their mark and "Babel"'s Rinko Kikuchi as a... demolitions expert named Bang Bang. It's awfully Wacky, but I'm reserving judgment -- it's slated to come out ...

Right smack in the middle of Comic-Con, Summit has decided to release the first trailer for Rian Johnson's second film - The Brothers Bloom. If you're not familiar with Rian Johnson, he's the guy who brought us the fantastic indie movie Brick a few years back. I'm not even sure what's going on in ...

I have no idea how I missed it, but over the weekend Summit Entertainment released the first trailer for director Rian Johnson’s The Brothers Bloom. If you remember, Johnson was the director of Brick, a film that I absolutely loved back in 2006. It was a stellar ode to noir and John Hughes, all at the same ...
The Brothers Bloom Movie Trailer

Over the weekend, Summit Entertainment released a trailer for director Rian Johnson’s follow-up to the 2006 indie high school noir Brick, The Brothers Bloom. Adrien Brody, Rachel Weisz and Mark Ruffalo star in a comedy about the best con men team in the world - The Brothers Bloom, swindling millionaires with complex scenarios of lust and intrigue. Now the brothers have decided to take on one last job - showing a beautiful and eccentric heiress the time of her life with a romantic adventure that takes them around the world. Brick knocked my socks off, but this looks like just another quirky heist film. And don’t get me wrong, it looks good, ...

Now, for all those who don’t know Rian Johnson, he is the talented director who made a really good Indie film 2 years back called Brick which won the hearts of most critics in US.
His new film boasts of 2 Academy Award Winners namely Adrien Brody and Rachel Weisz who is ably supported by Mark Ruffalo, Rinko Kikuchi (Babel) and Robbie Coltrane. The Trailer looks like its going to be a very light-hearted movie this time around and promises to be an engaging interesting film.

Trailer for The Brothers Bloom starring Adrien Brody and Mark Ruffalo
Published 7/31/2008 by Mike at Pop Critics
We haven’t written about The Brothers Bloom yet, which is probably why this is the first I’ve heard of it. But I’m glad I did, because it looks like it could be a uniquely funny comedy.
It’s from writer/director Rian Johnson, who brought us Brick, one of those awesome movies that no one knows about. It starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt as high school student who forces his way into an underground crime ring in order to find his missing girlfriend. It certainly is different, as the language and characters speak in an almost Shakespearean tone.
The Brothers ...
