If you haven't heard, 17 girls made a "pregnancy pact" at a high school in Gloucester, Mass and all got themselves knocked up at the same time. Some are blaming films like Juno and Knocked Up for their skewed view of pregnancy, but, let's face it, these girls are just morons (I remember a girl in my sixth grade class who told us she was trying to get pregnant. This week is going to be all over the place because there's a lot going on right now. First, I want to mention the passing of George Carlin. He will be remembered for his roles in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Dogma and Shining Time Station. But he will be best remembered for his stand up comedy. Before the PBS sessions began, they showed a clip from “The Colbert Report.” In it, Cookie Monster talked about his dark years as a cookie addict (that was before he discovered that eating cookies should just be an occasional treat after eating healthy food). “I was Robert Downey Jr. of cookies!” Cookie Monster told Colbert.
Fun fact about the new version of PBS’ “Electric Company,” which premieres early next year – at least one of the clips featured an appearance by Jack McBrayer, a.k.a. Kenneth the Page from “30 Rock.”
