The Amazing Race
Published 6/13/2008 by Kirby at Movie Dearest
Here's the action-packed trailer for the upcoming Death Race, a remake of the Roger Corman classic Death Race 2000 (which was actually directed by Paul Bartel), in theaters August 22. Jason Statham stars in the updated futuristic thriller (directed by Paul W.S. Anderson), along with Joan Allen, Ian McShane and Tyrese Gibson. And yes, that is Frederick Koehler, little Chip from Kate & Allie fame, in there as a convict. Chip! What would your mother think? ...

Head on over to Yahoo! Movies and you can take a peak at the trailer for Paul W.S. Anderson's Death Race (set visit/interviews), which hits theaters August 22 from Universal Pictures. Jason Statham leads the cast of an action-thriller set in the post-industrial wasteland of tomorrow, with the world's most brutal sporting event as its backdrop. A penitentiary full of felons has inspired the jailers to create a grisly pastime ripe for lucrative kickbacks. Now, adrenalized inmates, a global audience hungry for televised violence and a spectacular arena come together to form the Death Race.
Death Race Movie Trailer

Universal has released the first movie trailer for Paul W.S. Anderson’s Death Race remake starring Jason Statham. The prisoners who participate in death race have access to explosives and big guns which they incorporate into their cars in this anything goes race for freedom, but they don’t try to use them to escape? Seems to defy logic. But then again, when did we ever expect a Paul W.S. Anderson movie to conform to laws of logic. Check out the new trailer below and tell me what you think in the comments.

DeathRace.jpg Trailer are coming thick and fast, next up is one for Death Race starring Jason Statham. The remake of Death Race 2000 comes from Paul W.S. Anderson. Some of the details have changed from the original, but it still looks like decent fun. It will have had a summer of blockbusters before it though, so it's got a lot to live up to. Death Race ...
Death Race Trailer: Jason Statham Profiles & Exploding Cars
Published 6/14/2008 by Vic Holtreman at Screen Rant
The first, and hopefully only, Death Race trailer has been released. Why do I hope it’s the only one? Because this one gives away so much of the plot that there’s almost no reason to go watch the movie.
Death Race is a remake based on the cult classic Death Race 2000, made way back in 1975 when the year 2000 still seemed like “the future.” The original is the sort of film that I believe is OK to be remade, because it was a campy, cheesy B-movie that has nowhere to go but up. Don’t get me wrong - while very violent for the day, it was a ...
'Death Race' Trailer Hits
Published 6/14/2008 by Erik Davis at Cinematical
Filed under: Action, Fandom, Trailers and Clips The first trailer for Paul "The Other" Anderson's Death Race (loose) remake has arrived online over at Yahoo, and it feels like a mix between the video game Twisted Metal and The Running Man. Jason Statham stars as a prison inmate who's recruited by the warden (Joan Allen) to drive in a, well, death race where, if he wins, he gains his freedom. Throw in a bunch of seedy side characters (played by folks like Ian McShane and Tyrese Gibson) and you get what looks to be a decent late-summer action flick that's like the Mad Max ...
Paul W.S. Anderson's DEATH RACE Looks Promising?
Published 6/14/2008 by HEADGEEK at Ain't It Cool News - The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.
... Stallone and starring David Carradine. It rules. All the "Modest Proposal" satire seems to have been drained out in lieu of turning DEATH RACE into a hardcore road raging video game-esque race for freedom flick - and certainly that is a valid way to go with the material and is a completely different take on the material... but... will it rule? It'll take a lot more than this trailer to start getting me excited, but it is kinda fun looking... in a muted tones sorta way. Here ya go... Will Paul W.S. Anderson Crash & Burn or finish the race? The odds are against him, but like the ...

Trailer So yeah. Paul WS Anderson. I dunno. One of the things that was so great about the original was that David Carradine was this ruthless cock who had no problem driving over pedestrians and all kinds of other horrible things. It was so ridiculous and violent and without conscience. This thing looks like The Running Man (the movie) with cars. I dunno. Could be fun but... I dunno. I just... dun... no. ... All that said, Ian McShane ftw.
Trailering: Johnnie To, "Death Race" and Mr. Lee.

New on the trailer circuit:
Johnnie To's been a busy man after premiering "Mad Detective," a thriller about a brilliant but insane investigator trying to track down a missing cop that To co-directed with Wai Ka-Fai, he opened supernatural romance "Linger" in Asia and then brought "Sparrow," his lighthearted tale of Hong Kong pickpockets, to Berlin. At the moment, "Mad Detective" is the only one with a U.S. release date (July 18th) in its future, though both it and "Sparrow" are also going to screen at the New York Asian Film Festival. Here's the trailer for "Mad Detective."

Paul W.S. Anderson Confirms David Carradine Cameo In ‘Death Race’ Remake
Published 6/18/2008 by Josh Horowitz at MTV Movies Blog
As much as I’m tempted to roll my eyes at anything Paul W.S. Anderson directs at least a small part of me is curious about what he’s cooking up for August with the release of “Death Race” (am I alone? The trailer wasn’t that bad).
True, Jason Statham’s track record as an action hero isn’t exactly flawless but “Death Race” was and remains a great concept. We’ll find out soon enough if this remake or re-imagining or whatever we’re calling these things this week turns out to be worth our while.
There’s been a lot of chatter among the loyal “Death Race” ...
Trailer Park: Still Another Five Degrees of Trailer Separation
Published 6/22/2008 by Matt Bradshaw at Cinematical
Filed under: Action, Comedy, Drama, Horror, Trailer Trash, Trailers and Clips Once again using my own take on the classic Seven Degrees of Kevin Bacon, I'm bouncing from one trailer to the next via connections both insignificant and profound. Let's start with... Pink Panther 2 When I first heard about the 2006 Pink Panther remake I, like many, cried "blasphemers!" Who could possibly fill Peter Sellers' shoes as the endearingly idiotic Inspector Clouseau? Well, if anyone could do, it it would be Steve Martin, and even if the film ...
