The first trailer and promotional photos for DOLLHOUSE, co-starring Tahmoh Penikett, have surfaced today following the Fox 2008-2009 upfronts presentation. A second clip of Penikett with co-star Eliza Dushku can be seen here at Seat 42. E!Online has plenty of updates on this show - including a scoop directly from Whedon that the 7-episode order has apparently been upped to 13 episodes. Whedon also mentioned hoping he can hire Jane Espenson for the writing staff after BATTLESTAR GALACTICA wraps. The show will premiere ...

My silence may be eerie, but I’m sneakily still very much liking TV. In fact, I just got in from the Fox upfront party. It’s been an exhausting and kind of uneventful week, but what better excuse to touch base than the TV equivalent of prom? So this year marked my first in-person upfront experience, and I have to say, they’re kind of gross. A bunch of sloppy ad folks boozing to the point of public embarrassment and blatant starfucking does not a good time make. It was an education though. A lot of the big networks have started to show off their line-ups for next September, which means we’re getting our first look at some of the new shows. One show that I know a lot of people are interested in is Dollhouse , the new series from Joss Whedon and Tim Minear. This is a sci-fi series about the invention of female clones known as “Dolls” that have their memories wiped clean and can be rented out for various assignments and/or services.
