Video: Feist [ft. Various Muppets]: "1234" (Live on "Sesame Street")
Published 7/14/2008 by Mark Richardson at Pitchfork Media - Today
When Amanda Petrusich interviewed Feist for Pitchfork.tv, the singer mentioned appearing in an upcoming episode of the children's television perennial "Sesame Street". The episode is due to run in August, but her musical performance of a modified "1234" has hit YouTube, and it's pretty sweet. I can certainly think of worse ways of learning to count to four. [original version from The Reminder; out now on Interscope]

Cool Music Video: Feist’s ‘1234′ on Sesame Street
Published 7/14/2008 by Jay C. at Film Junk
As both a music fan and a film fan, my love for music videos is only natural. Sure it’s not exactly movie related, but it’s still fun to post some cool videos on Film Junk now and again. This one isn’t even really an official music video, but it’s still way too awesome to pass up. I love long takes and choreography in videos, and this kid-friendly version of Feist’s ‘1234′ certainly delivers. Check it out:

I'm beginning to think I should start a separate Muppet blog, but for now here is the latest instalment of "things that become better with fuzzy puppets in them". This week, Feist does 1-2-3-4 on Sesame Street. It's so appropriate, you begin to wonder whether she wrote the song specifically to meet Big Bird. Feist - 1-2-3-4

With its nursery-rhyme melody, counting chorus (mu-ha-ha-ha!) and colour-by-numbers music video, it's no surprise Feist has given her song 1,2,3,4 a Sesame Street makeover. And looking at the list of musicians who have gone before her, it seems the Canadian chanteuse is in good company ... Here's a preview clip of her appearance, in which she performs a reworking of her hit "1234," to apply to counting monsters, penguins, and "chickens just back from the shore." (They're in sunglasses and straw hats.) It's super cute and sweet, but the Count was oddly absent. Feist on Sesame Street [YouTube]

Have we got the video for you: Canadian songstress Feist makes her Sesame Street debut on the show’s August 11th season premiere, changing the lyrics to her most famous The Reminder track to reflect the concerns of the four-year-old set (”Oh you’re counting, counting with me, to one less than five and one more than three”). No longer content to have half of America in love with her, Feist has begun her campaign to win the hearts of the morning television watching public. 2 things (ok, maybe 3): 1. I don't care what anyone says, Sesame Street is pretty much one of the greatest things ever. 2. When did they start filming in HD? And if Sesame Street films in HD with those black bars, does that mean the full-screen vs. wide-screen debate is officially over? 3. Where's the Count? No one loves counting to 4 than he does.
