C'mon Everybody, Do the Hillary (Dance)! [Shake It For Hillary]
Wonkette » top —
If Barack’s fans had made this video — after the jump — instead of Hillary fans, it would somehow be uniting all two Americas and garnering positive citations in Frank Rich’s latest column. She’s not so bad, people, and Barack is a phony. Just check out the enthusiasm Hillary generates among paid performers!

Hillary Celebrated In Cringe-Inducing Song [Race For The Cure]
Gawker —
Ladies and gentlemen, the single best amateur campaign ad of the 2008 race. Hillary4U&Me; features the youth of today joining together to support our favorite dynastic presidential hopeful... in song! The song, which sounds vaguely like an off-key Casio demo version of the Jacksons' "ABC", is inspiring. The video is cutting-edge. The whole enterprise is so awesomely sincere that we were convinced it had to be a parody until we learned that it was composed and performed by a Silicon Valley CEO and "accomplished hobbyist musician." Watch the whole video, after the jump! ...

Obama wins YouTube vote, hands down
Lost Remote —
Ok, you’ve probably seen the Obama music clip on YouTube. Smart, stylish and very popular. And now Hillary supporters have posted, um, this thing. “(It’s) an embarrassment to politics, music and modern dance,” quips blogger Lerone Wilson, who points out the Hillary clip has a one-star rating. “The problem is, of course, that the patently bad music, coupled with a dance routine better suited for a high school football game halftime show, did nothing to prove her case. Instead, she came off as the 50 year old guy who inexplicably spends most evenings trying to schmooze with ...

Weird Web Wednesdays: Skateboarding Is A Crime
Film Junk —
Those damn skateboarders… they’re all a bunch of delinquents who put themselves on the wrong side of the law. Except, in this case, the skateboarders that this Baltimore cop decides to manhandle look like the most harmless, good-natured kids in the world. Part of me has a hard time believing this video is real, because what police officer would be dumb enough to perform such a stunt in front of a camera? Either way, it’s pretty funny. Also check out some brilliant voice over work by the cast of Spongebob Squarepants, a baby that loves Rick Astley, and another amusing commercial from Michael Bay. If that’s not enough, even Martin ...
John Lundberg: Found Poems On The Campaign Trail
Huffington Post Entertainment Blog —
The Democratic Primary, at times, seems to center around Barack Obama's preternatural rhetorical ability and Hillary Clinton's attempts to overcome it. Obama is Walt Whitman on the stump. His crowds ooh and aah even as he ticks off requisite thank yous to local politicians. You get the sense people would line up to hear him read his phone bill--and would make signs. Credit Obama's speechwriters, in part, for this. They write strong cadences into his text. Look at an excerpt from his victory speech in Iowa. The rhythms roll forward so forcefully that it almost stands as a poem:
...That is what ...
Bob Cesca: Liveblogging the Texas and Ohio Primaries

And it's time for another evening with Chuck Todd's Magical Mathematical Beard. Senator Obama wins Vermont which isn't such a surprise. Polls close in Ohio in t-minus three minutes. Josh Marshall at TPM is reporting that the exits are showing dead even numbers in Texas and Ohio. NOTE: I'm going to liveblog downwards tonight. It's easier to read, no?
7:30PM
MSNBC reports that Ohio is too close to call. See "pain" prediction above. Senator McCain wins Ohio.

It’s Raining…McCain?
Complex Blog —
Politics It’s Raining…McCain? If elections were decided by pop culture buzz, Republican candidate John McCain would be dead last. After Barack Obama went viral with a little help from Obama Girl and will.i.am (and Hillary supporters put out their lame attempts ), it seemed as if Republicans were still struggling to figure out this whole “U-tube” thing that the kids have been talking about. Well, thanks to three pleasantly plump ladies known as “McCain Girls ,” the straight talk express may be going digital. Check out their remake of the Weather Girls’ “It’s Raining Men,” now called (what else?) ...
Election week special: An Obama mixtape to celebrate
Prefix —
First, the shameless self-promotion. A couple months back, I was asked to select some background music for a politically-themed life drawing session for teens. The event would take place on Halloween, and allow teens to use live models dressed as various political figures as drawing subjects. The political angle was appropriate considering the event was a weekend away from Election Day. And for some of the teen participants, this year would be their first opportunity to vote (more information about the program can be found here ...
