Beaks here... Every time we get a new trailer or commercial for Chris Carter's new X-FILES movie, I have to pinch myself until blood pools around my fingernails just because I'm into the rough stuff. Then I get excited by the fact that there's new X-FILES on the way! If this is possible, then ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT: THE BLUTHS is possible... FREAKS & GEEKS: LINDSAY WEIR IS A DEADHEAD is possible... QUINCY IN HAITI is possible... everything I loved that went away too soon can be revived! It's like I'm Jeff Zucker: Re-Animator! Shhh…Don’t tell anyone - least of all 20th Century Fox - there’s a new X-Files movie coming out shortly. I mention that because up until the very last minute, the studio seemed content to not worry about promoting the movie very much at all. The movie’s release date kept getting closer and closer with no trailer or posters and not even a formal title, necessitating much of the early coverage of the film to refer to it as “X-Files 2” or “As-yet-unnamed X-Files sequel” or something along those lines.
