Janet’s 40 sumthing year old behind is making it rain on them hoes Rihanna, Ciara, and the rest of the interchangeables. I must say that I’m very happy that this record seems to be going into a different direction from the whole 20 y.o. mess (which really had no chance of living up to the hype) though. I don't know exactly what I was expecting but this is kinda wack up until the end. I'm not looking for "meaning" like the rest of the world, because sometimes a video treatment just boils down to costumes and makeup with no significant plot or concept, and there's nothing wrong with that. However, whatever money they spent on this could've went to something else. I would not have been mad if Janet had pulled the kids together and did the exact same thing she did in "All Nite Don't Stop" and "All For You". Sometimes all a Janet fan wants is a fierce look and a hot routine, but every single time she does all this extra stuff it falls flat. ...

You might remember our wee article about our Top 30 under 30 last week. Well my contribution to the mix was the fabulous drag queen Russella who I last name checked here and my fave music vid director Saam Farahmand. Well guess who has shot the new Janet Jackson video for her song Feedback? SAAM BLOODY FARAHMAND. It reminds me a bit of his Golden Skans vid with Klaxons what with all the in space slo-mo. Can't wait to see his Soulwax DVD. In other news, the song is a bit rubbish. Robo voices! *Shudder* I blame Cher. Also, Janet - she's definitely mad a pact with the devil. She looks TOO GOOD!

The video for Janet Jackson’s new single “Feedback” premiered last night and if you watch it all the way through the end it’s a hot one. I kind of like the space theme, but she took entirely too long to make something happen in the video. Once the choreography kicked it in was much more enjoyable. The final scene is my favorite and she definitely brings the heat. It was smooth yet fierce lol.
