Kanye West's forthcoming album has a title and release date: 808s and Heartbreak will be out Dec. 16. Perhaps in honor of that bit of business being cleared up, he surprised a crowd at New York's Knitting Factory last night, where he performed a few old tracks and two new ones, including the VMA-debuted "Love Lockdown." As you would expect him to do at a showcase of rappers signed to his own GOOD Music label, Kanye West made an appearance at Knitting Factory in NYC last night (Sept 9). The whole show went: 88 Keys, Termanology, Big Sean, Mickey Factz, Kid Cudi, and then Consequence. Wale did some deejaying between sets. Kanye West came out during Consequence's set. Kanye West’s fourth studio album will reportedly be called 808s and Heartbreak and is scheduled for release on December 16th. According to BET.com’s “Sound Off!” blog, Kanye will borrow from T-Pain and make extra use of Auto-Tune throughout the entire album. ‘Ye performed the first single “Love Lockdown” and “Swagger Like Us” on Tuesday at New York’s Knitting Factory.
