Scorsese Films Hitchcock (Sorta...)!!
Ain't It Cool News - The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news. — Merrick here... I'm usually not much for advertising advertising campaigns, but this one's pretty cool. It deals with two filmmakers of imminent interest to Geeks far and wide, so I thought it was worthy of note. If I understand correctly, this is part of an ad campaign for...wine...postulating how Martin Scorsese would direct a script fragment of an unmade Alfred Hitchcock film. Scorsese actually appears on-screen in a mini-docu(mocku?)mentary, and helmed the Hitchcock homage as well. To me, at least, this is made even niftier given that I spent the whole weekend binging on Hitchcock films via HD Movie channel's marathon (PSYCHO looks soooo damn ...

Martin Scorsese Does Hitchcock
Cinematical — Filed under: Mystery & Suspense, Fandom, Scripts, Exhibition, Home Entertainment, Trailers and Clips "This fall, film director Martin Scorsese embarked on a secret experiment in filmmaking. A project which could have bold repercussions on future film preservation. Or maybe not." And now he has combined both of those talents into one, directing Key to Reserva; ostensibly a wine ...

Multiplex Mayhem, Pre-Game Edition
Premium Hollywood - Entertainment blog, Hollywood blog, movie blog, TV blog — It’s the second week of this little experiment in Thursday evening/Friday morning film quarterbacking. And there’s no time to be wasted….Or maybe there is. That’s because, whatever else may be true, with the possible exception of one exciting experiment in larger than life rock and roll and an art-house experiment with children’s attention spans, this weekend does not look to be anything for the history books. “*Generally speaking, “Leatherheads” is the kind of mainstream flick I root for. A romantic comedy hearkening to the thirties and forties screwball era when, weird as it might sound to ...

Why I Will Burn My Entire Scorsese Movie Collection
LAZY EYE THEATRE — Watch the commercial and then read my commentary. I saw this commercial last week in New York at an advertising award show. It was featured as one of the best commercials of last year. As I watched it, I was in complete awe because of what I thought it was doing - and that is trying to promote film ...
