Last night I was watching VH1's 100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs countdown and during one of the commercial breaks I caught Mary J. Blige's newest commercial for Chevrolet. This time around MJB is riding around with her girls in a shiny new Chevy Traverse with her very first release "Real Love" playing on the radio. But these aren't any just any old girls Blige is sitting on chrome with -- there are a carload of Mary's in the whip representing the singer at various stages in her life/career. In the latest TV commerical for Chevrolet Traverse, Mary J Blige depicted herself at various times in her music career. On the car ride to an unknown destination spot, you the viewer can make out a " My Life " Mary, " The Breakthrough " Mary, " Growing Pains " Mary, " No More Drama " Mary and " What's The 411 " Mary. I love that she left the baggage behind and kept it moving at the end. Check out MJB in the new Cheverolet commercial for the Chevy Traverse. The ad features the Queen of Hip Hop Soul in all stages of her life…kinda scary to see Mary clones but I get it. Wonder when T.I. will get his commercial. Now would be appropriate to help cross promote Paper Trail…I’m just saying.
