Mariah Carey was on Good Morning America today, and it was pretty much a wreck. The track begins too soon and Mariah can barely catch up to her pre-recorded vocals She basically looks annoyed for the entire song. Then, at the 2:55 mark, Mariah gives a backup singer the icy stare of death and works the line, "stop singing my part now baby” into the song. May god have mercy on that girl’s soul. You don’t fuck with Mariah Careys spotlight. You might as well go up to a tiger and kick him in his balls.

About 3:05 minute mark she told her backup singer, "Stop sining my part now baby!" Mariah was pissed, but then she tried to ad lib some at the end. Her comments when she finished the song totally confirmed she got caught, and she knew it. Ashlee Simpson probably feels better about her most embarrassing moment now.

On the one hand, I'm in hysterics, on the other I'm thinking, damn. Absolutely inexcusable. Here we have someone who is commonly referred to as one of music's greatest voices, inadvertently exposed lip-synching on live television. SMH at Mariah asking her backing singers to stop singing her part, when it was obviously her pre-recorded backing track playing up. Knowing full well I'm probably volunteering myself to be 'Lamb Stew', this really was like watching the death of 'The Voice'. There's definitely a massacre going down at Good Morning America right now. Mimi performed this morning and that shit didn't go well. Mimi is on a roll! Mariah Carey will turn the lights of New York City's Empire State Building lavender, pink and white this weekend. The city is honoring the native New Yorker by lighting up the Empire State building with her favorite colors in honor of her album E=MC2 topping the billboard charts. She'll flick the switch to light the building as soon as the sun goes down tonight. Mimi also treated New Yorkers to a free live concert this morning on 'Good Morning America.' This video clearly proves all three of those points. At the 3:05 mark she pretty much yells “Stop Singin’ My Part” to one of the backup singers. The singer hasn’t been heard from since.

You know how Ashlee Simpson bungled her Saturday Night Live performance, with the sound engineer running the wrong background vocal?
On GMA, the correct Mariah vocal got played, but at the wrong time. And more than once. Ever the professional, in the middle of (actual) singing, she ad-libbed, “Stop singing my part now, baby.” Brilliant.

Well, someone backstage messed up her backing track that is supposed to provide back-up support to a live singer.
