Mary nailed it! The band definitely add an extra element to the track and it helps that Mary was on her 'A Game' vocally too. 'Stay Down' is hands-down my favourite Mary track since 'Be Without You', so it's great to see the song get the single/performance treatment. What do you think of the performance? Labels: Mary J. Mary J Blige performed her hit single, "Stay Down" off her current album, "Growing Pains". Oprah handpicked Mary's single as one of the top picks of the summer. Needless to say, the performance was all vintage MJB. Thanks to ThatBrownSkin for uploading the video. In related news, MJB alongside Nelly, Usher (not pictured) and Lil' Wayne announced this year's BET Awards nominees. Estelle and Christelle Michele are competing for the Best New Artist category. Erykah Badu's "Honey" got a nomination for Video of the Year. Keyshia Cole's girl anthem "Let It Go" with Missy and Lil' Kim received a nod for Best Collaboration. ...

Mary J. Blige and her new wig were all the rage on The Oprah Winfrey Show this past Friday. She was the special musical guest on "Oprah's Top Picks for the Summer" telecast. (Think "Oprah's Favorite Things" with a twist of lime.) MJB performed her latest single, "Stay Down," and the audience ate it up with the biggest spoon in town.
