Max Payne Trailer Starring Mark Wahlberg
Published 7/10/2008 by Sean at Film Junk
maxpaynetrailer I wasn’t expecting much from the first trailer for the upcoming Max Payne movie, but I gotta say, this looks pretty damn good so far. Mark Wahlberg’s voiceover sets just the right tone, and from the clips we are shown it seems very noir and very over the top. Sin City comparisons are inevitable I suppose, but I think if it can stick to the style while also telling a decent story, this could be one of the surprises of the year for me. Expectations are always a bit lower for movies based on video games to begin with, but as of right now this looks like it actually has potential to be the first decent game to film adaptation. ...

Max Payne The Movie Trailer

Wow, I'm sorry but that looks bloody awesome. I know it's fashionable to bash films based on games as their track record isn't exactly anything to write home about but from where I stand Max Payne may very well be the exception to the rule. Mark Wahlberg is perfectly cast and has the voice down to a t. The action looks fast, furious and above all retains the stylistic nature of the game. The fact that the film is going to be PG-13 does nothing to diminish my entuaism as from the trailer this looks to be a very dark, gritty film. Roll on October 17th.

Merrick here... There's a lot of nice imagery here. Will John Moore make-up for his OMEN remake? Will Wahlberg atone for THE HAPPENING? Seeing this has made me half-way interested in this project for the first time.

But all in all as far as world influence, wealth,... rot : yeah Hiroshima is a tough one to rationalize… and I actually understand Andrew’s sentiment of just wanting to... Dave : Seriously, do you work at FOX NEWS? I think Italy, Greece, Egypt, Mongolia and several other nations would take issue... Dave : I suppose it’s all a matter of how each side views itself as well. Those we call terrorists I’m sure consider... Russ T. The trailer for the upcoming film Max Payne has hit YouTube… and for a movie based on a videogame it’s actually looking pretty damn cool.  Mark Wahlberg stars as a NYC detective mourning the murder of his family at the hands of very bad men.  Aside from that tidbit it’s unclear from the trailer what the main plot line of the movie will be.  Check out the new trailer below. C’mon, admit it… it doesn’t look anywhere near as bad as you expected.  Videogames aren’t known to be reliable source material for quality ...

The Trailer For “Max Payne” Hits

Seems like Mark Wahlberg is doing his best Bruce Willis impersonation for Max Payne, and it’s working. The first trailer for the film has just gone up and you can watch it above. C’mon, even the most jaded video game fan has got to admit this movie is shaping up to be pretty sweet. Director John Moore may not have an impressive resume, but Uwe Boll he ain’t. And you can never go wrong with Mila Kunis in leather. Related Posts: Mark Wahlberg Feels ...

Mark Wahlburg’s ‘Max Payne’ Trailer Leaked.

[image] The international trailer for the new Mark Wahlburg action film based on the video game Max Payne has been leaked online. It may not stay online for long but here it is! Most of the time, video game movies suck. This actually looks pretty promising. It also stars Mila Kunis ( Forgetting Sara Marshall ), who I personally think is gorgeous, and a great actor; plus she plays an assassin (hot).  So I’m looking forward to this one, I hope it’s good. It’s coming out on October 17th. [image] [image] The film is directed by John Moore ( The Omen , 2006). It also stars  Chris O’Donnell , Beau Bridges , Ludacris , ...

We’re in the hot days now, when thoughts turn to beaches and Batman, suntans and stoner comedies. But I’m guessing after we hit the highpoint of summer - July 18, and you know why it’s the summer’s highpoint - and start that sticky and sweaty slide down to Labor Day, we’ll start thinking more about autumn’s darker fare. Fare like Max Payne. The adaptation of the hit video game - one of the most innovative games on the market when it arrived, thanks to its incorporation of bullet time into game play - is due in theaters on October 17. ...

Max Payne Trailer
Published 7/11/2008 by Adam Lubitow at Movie Moron
The first trailer for Max Payne, starring Mark Wahlberg, has hit the nets. Based on the popular video game series of the same name, the movie revolves around an undercover New York City detective investigating a powerful crime family responsible for the murder of the his wife and child. Not being big into video games, that pretty much covers all I know about the plot. The trailer does look pretty stylish, with a cool Sin City pulp-noir vibe and lots of fancy slow-motion shots, which the game was (apparently) known for. I have to admit being a bit confused by the winged… men? creatures? who show up throughout the ...

The first trailer for John Moore’s adaptation of the popular video game “Max Payne” has just debuted online. In a nutshell, the flick centers on an undercover DEA agent who seeks to avenge the murders of his wife and child. Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges, Chris O’Donnell and Ludacris co-star. Moore’s directing credits ...
