An animation company has finally managed to create a computer-generated human that most watchers can't distinguish from a real person. Forget the clunky CG characters in most animated movies today — in a few years, you could be watching animated films that are almost indistinguishable from "live-action" ones. Actors have been wrangling over profits made online, but they should have spent some time making sure their jobs were safe. A new form of computer animation is being developed that could make real actors a thing of the past. Even stage actors can be replaced with new 3-D holographic projections.
