The pilot episode of The CW’s updated Melrose Place includes a murder, an engagement, prostitution and so much more. Just like the original, the show revolves around a group of 20-somethings who live in the same apartment complex. It seems the only thing that will be missing for the new “Place” is Heather Locklear’s incredibly inappropriate micro-mini skirt business suits.

Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson take their 7-month-old son, Bronx Mowgli, to a vintage car show at Travis Barker’s shop ‘Stainless Stars and Straps’ in Los Angeles on Saturday (June 20).
Ashlee’s opening scene in the pilot of the new Melrose Place is her screaming like a banshee after finding a dead body floating in the pool of her apartment complex. Unfortunately, the rest of her time in the episode is not very memorable.
