Happy 50th Birthday, Michael Jackson! There are many things one can say about Michael Jackson; many things people have said about Michael Jackson. And most of them, if not "true," are certainly valid. (Hell, even I wondered at the decision to put him on the cover of Ebony magazine for Thriller 's 25th anniversary. However, given that there's no Used-to-be-Ebony-and-is-now-Pretty-Much-Ivory magazine, I'm sure there wasn't much deliberation.) Michael Jackson celebrated his 50th birthday today with his kids...and a phone interview on "Good Morning America" which highlighted his career. MJ remarked that "Thriller" and "Off The Wall" were two of his best work at his happiest times. "That meant very much to me and seemed to be received so beautifully by the public and the world. You know, I enjoyed it very much." As for how he'll celebrate his birthday, MJ had this to say: "I'll just have a little cake with my children and we'll probably watch some cartoons."
