ASSHAT IDOL: Dolly Parton Week
Published 4/2/2008 by BR at Asshat Hollywood
MOST AWESOME PERFORMANCE: This was the most awesome performance from last night for many reasons. First, he finally shut everyone up about the whole covering covers "controversy" (which never was controversial) by doing an original arrangement and doing it very well. Second - THE HAIR!! Hello? Definitely upped the hotness quotient. Thank you American Idol stylists! (now go work on Carly before Simon has a chance to insult her again!) Sadly, the biggest reason this was so awesome though is because of the news that came out today. You'd never guess ...

American Idol 2008 - Top 9 Performance (4/01/08) Recaps
Published 4/2/2008 by Jason at Pop Critics
We’re now in week seven of American Idol 2008 live performances and we’re down to the Top 9 contestants. It’s actually a good time for the show since we’ve seen most of the pretenders get voted off, the show has been cut down to only an hour long, and we have the first of our musical mentors. This week Dolly Parton dropped by to lend her considerable talents to the show. Now, I’m not exactly a Dolly Parton fan, but you have to give credit where it’s due. Did anyone know that the woman has written over 3000 songs! That’s insane. I knew she had wrote most of her own stuff and had written for a great many ...

Published 4/3/2008 by Milo at Fan site of Beyonce Knowles, Hilary Duff, Keira Knightley, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Megan Fox, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks, Hayden Panettiere, Cashmere Mafia
Dolly became a fan of Michael Johns who hoped to write songs for him in the future. The judges thought it was his best performance but CelebrityCatch just didn’t dig it as much as his previous performances.

Best Performances of the Season: #2 - Michael Johns, "It's All Wrong, But It's All Right"
Published 5/20/2008 at BuddyTV
Believe me, I wasn't expecting to put Michael Johns in the number two hole. That being said, I've always been a big supporter of the Aussie, and thought he had the talent to reach the final two or three. It was a shame that he was eliminated when he was. A performance like this one makes me a little sad, because it shows that Johns may have been the best singer on American Idol this season.

Spotlight On Australian Entertainers
Published 7/21/2008 at Starpulse Entertainment News Blog
Russell Crowe What is it about Aussies that Americans find so fascinating? Is it the cute accents? The laid-back attitudes? The "party animal" reputations? It could be a mix of all of these traits. It could also be because, although we speak the same language and our cultures have many similarities, many of us know very little about Australia. That strange yet familiar vibe makes those down under denizens appear exciting and mysterious - an irresistible combo! Since Americans are also fascinated with celebrities, it's no surprise that so many awesome Aussie entertainers have found fame in the U.S. Let's take a look at some of the blokes and sheilas who ...
