Universal Pictures has debuted the new Wanted trailer online which you can watch below! Opening June 27, the graphic novel adaptation, directed by Timur Bekmambetov, stars James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Terence Stamp, Thomas Kretschmann, Common and Angelina Jolie. The trailer is available in High Definition QuickTime here . New photos have also been added to the gallery !

New Trailer for 'Wanted' and 11 New Pics

Man, this Wanted flick looks promising and with rumors that it is going to be a hard-R actioner only gets me more excited. The film is directed by Russian helmer Timur Bekmambetov and stars James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie, Common, Terence Stamp and David O'Hara. Universal has just released a new trailer for the flick over at MySpace and if the flash version below isn't enough you can check out the QuickTime HD version right here . There's a new trailer for Wanted online, and this one seems to dispense with story and just hit the effects and cool sequences of the film, and in a way that works superbly. However I just wish there was a little more meat to it. We do discover he's been recruited, and that there's some beautiful lady who is training him, watching over him, and sleeping with him, but other than that it's an extended effects reel. Still, it's a cracking extended effects reel, and those effects do look spectacular. There's also a slew of new images, which you can see over at Latino Review ...

This is the newest trailer for Wanted, starring James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie (doing her best Asia Argento impression).  It opens June 27th. Apparently Angelina Jolie took some time off from baby-hoarding and turning Brad Pitt into a wrinkly, puffy-faced shadow of his former self to make a movie with Rusky director Timur Bekmambetov (whose Night Watch films were silly but fun). Some other internet websites have poo-pooed the trailer, but I think it’s glorious in its cheesiness. It’s got Bekmambetov’s trademark over-the-top FX, Morgan Freeman (who’ll always be Easy Reader to me), and meat. What’s not to love? ShareThis
