Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz hosts a new Friday night show on MTV called "FNMTV" dedicated to the very thing that put the channel on the map: music videos. Last night on "FNMTV", the show debuted the new video for No Age's "Eraser", and Wentz also had the band in the studio for some chat (will add a YouTube of that here if it surfaces). For MTV to go from essentially no videos to making room in prime time for No Age premieres-- incredible band, to be sure, but not a household name even by indie standards-- is puzzling, but also entirely welcome. Reactions to No Age's MTV debut on last Friday's installment of FNMTV are currently running 51/49 against of the Los Angeles duo's paint-and-glitter-drenched backyard bash, with the "anti" faction complaining that they want more singing. Of course, comments like "when he starts to sings he only sings like for 30 seconds and i dont understand what he is sayin this song really suckz" only inspire the "pro" faction to go out of its way to point out its debate partners' bad grammar.
