Zack Snyder’s Watchmen Trailer
Published 7/18/2008 by Sean at Film Junk
watchmentrailer Well, I’ve gotta give Zack Snyder credit… the first trailer for Watchmen is everything it needed to be, and more. I had my doubts, and it’s not that I didn’t think Watchmen would make for a good movie, but rather, I just didn’t think it would make for a good blockbuster. But here he has proven me wrong. Just like the trailer for 300 , this is completely going to sell people who have never heard of the comic. It looks and feels epic, and although I probably wouldn’t call Zack Snyder “visionary” just yet, I think he’s well on his way to another smash hit here. When March 6th rolls around, I know where we’ll all be. YouTube clip ...

The Watchmen Trailer Must Be Watched

Movies The Watchmen Trailer Must Be Watched watchmentrailer_main.jpg Over 20 years after producer Lawrence Gordon first bought the rights to Alan Moore’s classic graphic novel, the Watchmen movie is finally coming to life. While the flick doesn’t drop until March 2009, the first trailer (which will be playing before screenings of The Dark Knight this weekend) leaked out late yesterday. There’s been a lot of speculation about whether or not a complex character study like this can ever be done justice in a two hour movie. But even the biggest skeptics have to admit that the trailer makes it look like director Zack Snyder ( 300 ) is ...

Oh my God. One of the best graphic novels ever…made into a film by the director of 300. The trailer makes me dig my fingernails into the palms of my hands until blood starts seeping out of my clenched fists. What does it make you do?
TRAILER PARK: Watchmen
Published 7/20/2008 by Evan Derrick at MovieZeal
A landmark film like The Dark Knight (supposedly … I’m waiting two more days to see it) deserves to have some big-money trailers preceding it. There’s one I especially have in mind: Zack Snyder’s adaptation of Alan Moore and David Gibbon’s Watchmen. Just in case you don’t know, Watchmen is, as the trailer suggests, “the most celebrated graphic novel of all time.” Its true: Moore and Gibbon’s superhero fantasy is one of the most sweeping, complex, pieces of literature to be written this century. If you haven’t read it, well, consider this an order. ...
