Traci Lords Is "A Princess Of Mars." God Help Us All. [Princess Of Mars]
io9 —
Can't wait another couple years for the Andrew Stanton-Michael Chabon John Carter Of Mars movie? You don't have to. Asylum, maker of so many bargain-basement epics, is putting out Princess Of Mars now. The trailer reveals Traci Lords' Deja Thoris. Since Edgar Rice Burroughs' books are public domain, Asylum is fre to create their own take on the story of Deja Thoris, even to the point of inflicting Traci Lords on us again. And of course, they get to tie in with the John Carter-inspired Avatar as well as the eventual John Carter movie. Here's that trailer: ...
The Asylum to release Princess of Mars instead of John Carter
AMC Entertainment Script To Screen Movie Blog —
Asylum films is responsible for those blatant ripoffs that are just this side of valid that have earned them the made up title of Mockbusters as each one is shamelessly attemping to monopolize on a popular franchise being produced by a big studio.
Among their shameless titles are Transmorphers, Snakes on a Train and The Terminators. And their latest attempt will bank on the anticipated John Carter of Mars called Princess of Mars. Staring Traci Lords.

Princess Of Mars Trailer: Ripping Off Two Movies For The Price Of One
Cinema Blend News —
There's not an Avatar knockoff movie, not yet, but Asylum Entertainment will not let a new James Cameron movie get by without at least an attempt to cash in on it. Since the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs are public domain, and Disney will have a real John Carter of Mars coming out soon, Asylum went ahead and made their own low-budget version, Princess of Mars , with Antonio Sabato Jr. and, oh yes, Traci Lords. And because James Cameron has cited Burroughs as an influence, the trailer crows that the movie is "the inspiration for James Cameron's Avatar ." No, seriously. Check out the trailer below, and below that, a few stills from this ...

Princess of Mars Image 1 Princess of Mars Image 2 Princess of Mars is a new corny B-movie that is claiming to be the inspiration for James Cameron’s Avatar . Check out this trailer. Clearly this is just a desperate attempt to get people to go see this movie. From the trailer it looks like there are only two scenes in the whole thing. Antonio Sabato Jr. and Traci Lords !? Hilarious. Asylum to release Princess of Mars
KillerFilm —
Those crazy mocksters at The Aslyum are at it again as a poster and trailer for Princess of Mars has been uncovered. According to the trailer the novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs was the inspiration for James Cameron’s Avatar. It doesn’t look too bad and reminds me of a modern version of those Hercules films with Lou Ferrigno. Look for the DVD on December 29.
Synopsis: In this modern adaptation of the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs novel, US soldier John Carter finds himself inexplicably transported to Mars in the middle of a war between two alien ...
