I cried so much. I didn’t expect to but this was so touching and a fine farewell for a great legend. The above clip was indeed the most memorial, heart wrenching moment and I think made us all feel the loss of the Jackson family.
I feel like it was great coming together of stories, songs, humor, and honor. I think it was done in a way that Michael Jackson would have loved, highlighting many walks of life that were all touched by him.

Mariah Carey took to her Twitter last night after people couldn’t stop being mean about her admittedly rough performance of “I’ll Be There” during yesterday’s Michael Jackson memorial service at the Staples Center: “Trying to sing today was basically impossible for me,” she thumb-typed. “I could barely keep myself from crying. I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to pull it together and really do it right, but I was literally choked up when I saw him there in front of me.
