Lewis Black's Root of All Evil at 10:30, following the first new South Park of this series. Lew is the judge, stand-up comics take the roles of attorneys representing people or things or places or concepts that may or may not be the "root of all evil."
Think of it as pop culture civil court. And, as it is in a civil court environment, the threshold is preponderance of the evidence, so that's what the comics, including people like Kathleen Madigan and Paul F. Tompkins will be looking do prove. And get laughs at the same time.

Lewis Black outta be in good spirits, for a change. His new Comedy Central skein "Lewis Black's Root of All Evil" did well in its Wednesday debut behind the 12th season opener of "South Park." "Evil" banked 2.3 million viewers, coming out of 3.1 million for "South Park." Comedy Central sez it was its highest-rated series debut since the dawn of "Chappelle's Show" in 2003. Most important, by Comedy Central's yardstick, is that it scored with young men, finishing third for the night among all shows, in men 18-24 and men 18-34, behind "South Park" and (well behind) Fox's "American Idol." Following spectacular ratings for the series premiere of Lewis Black’s Root of All Evil — the best at Comedy Central since the series premiere of Chapelle’s Show in 2003, according to Broadcasting & Cable — the cable network has renewed the series for a second season.
Season Two starts July 30 and will have a total of eight episodes.
