Angelina Jolie kicks butt as Evelyn A. Salt, a C.I.A. operative accused of being a Russian spy planning an attack on the U.S. president, in the nail-biting espionage thriller Salt.
The striking Oscar winner changes her look several time as Evelyn embarks on a race against time to clear her name. Salt hits theaters July 23, 2010.

Movies on Wednesday, November 4. In the footage, blonde Evelyn Salt, the character portrayed by Angelina Jolie , is seen taking her duty as a CIA officer who interviews a captured Russian operative. Later, the defector accuses her of being a Russian sleeper spy who tries to kill the U.S. president. Finally, Salt goes on the run to clear her name and ultimately prove that she is a patriot. Word around the blogosphere is that this movie is the flick that broke the camels back in the Jolie-Pitt household.
Several major tabloids have reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt agreed that she would take a major acting break after filming Salt to spend time with her mess-o-kids. Then she agreed to star in The Tourist with Johnny Depp and the sh*t hit the fan. Sources close to Angie say she has a hard time turning down good (read: usually boring) roles and is not ready to give up her A-list acting career even though she and Brad had agreed she would put family first after Salt.

Here is the just-released poster for Salt, the film starring Angelina Jolie (that could have been starring Tom Cruise). I’m kind of “meh” on the poster. They made Angelina’s eyes look so weird - her natural eye color is blue-green. On the poster they look like Robert Pattinson’s vampire contacts, all topaz-ish and dilated. Actually, I’m getting a real vampire feel from the whole image - they made her look like she just stepped out the shadows, and she’s about to bite the hell out of us.
