I love Seinfeld but this ad stinks!
MSNBC using new Surface-powered table
Lost Remote —
Despite the strange Seinfeld ads… Microsoft doesn’t often get lauded for doing something cool. This is an exception. NBC News Political Director Chuck Todd (Chuckie T!) demonstrated a new Microsoft Surface-powered table today on MSNBC Live. The table rivals John King’s Magic Wall on CNN, but the addition of real-world objects makes this even cooler. (Here’s an old LR story on Surface)

Weird Web Wednesdays: Noel Gallagher Learns How to Stage Dive
Film Junk —
[image] Sometimes people ask me why we do a weekly post about funny internet videos on a website that primarily covers movie news. Wait… actually come to think of it, no one has ever asked me that, because everyone loves funny internet videos! This week on Weird Web Wednesday, Oasis finds out the hard way that you can’t always look cool on stage, some hippies get emotional over the loss of their tree friends, and a cop shows off some sweet dance moves when he thinks no one is looking. Open Forum Friday: Jerry Seinfeld’s Microsoft Ads… Success or Failure?
Film Junk —
[image] Alright, so this week’s Open Forum Friday isn’t directly related to movies, but I thought it was an interesting discussion nonetheless. By now you’ve probably seen or heard of the new Microsoft commercials starring Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates, which were primarily being passed around online rather than airing on TV. There was a big deal made of the fact that Seinfeld received $10 million for his involvement, and that they were supposed to strike back at Apple’s highly successful “I’m a Mac, You’re a PC” campaign. Now, after only two of the Seinfeld spots have been released, Microsoft has already decided to pull the plug on the campaign ...
Microsoft's new "I'm a PC" ads are surprisingly cool
Cajun Boy in the City —
I'm no advertising guru by any stretch of the imagination, but as someone with a mild fascination in the industry it sure as hell seems that Microsoft's new "I'm a PC" ads are a hell of a lot more effective than those horrible, horrible Jerry Seinfeld/Bill Gates ads ...
