Despite the strange Seinfeld ads… Microsoft doesn’t often get lauded for doing something cool. This is an exception. NBC News Political Director Chuck Todd (Chuckie T!) demonstrated a new Microsoft Surface-powered table today on MSNBC Live. The table rivals John King’s Magic Wall on CNN, but the addition of real-world objects makes this even cooler. (Here’s an old LR story on Surface)

Microsoft is pulling the ill-received ad campaign featuring comedian Jerry Seinfeld and Microsoft co-founder and chairman Bill Gates.
The corporation denies that the commercial failure of the spots has anything to do with the decision to discontinue the campaign.
“All along we said we were having a teaser campaign,” Microsoft spokesman Frank Shaw said in a statement Thursday. “We’re getting ready to start the second phase. This was the plan all along.”
