New Shutter Island trailer online
Filmstalker —
ShutterIsland.jpg Another new trailer for Shutter Island has appeared online, and this one gives a very dark and scary look into the film. This one would make you think it's the closest that Martin Scorsese has come to horror yet, the opening certainly gave me a scare early this morning with the volume up. The film is adapted from the Dennis Lehane novel ( Amazon.co.uk ...

New, New SHUTTER ISLAND Trailer Hits
We Are Movie Geeks —
Every once in awhile, probably about twice a year, I will refuse to watch the trailer for an upcoming film. It’s something I’ve only started doing in the past, few years. I want to walk into the film not having seen any footage from it beforehand. I did it with KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL. I then did it with QUANTUM OF SOLACE. Needless to say, this isn’t going well for me, and I’m hoping I can make it 1 for 3 with SHUTTER ISLAND.
Today, we bring you a new trailer for Scorsese’s next film, newer than the trailer running in theaters now. It comes to us courtesy of Spike, who ran it during ...
Shutter Island Movie Trailer #3: Now With More Pulp!
/Film —
No, this new Shutter Island trailer doesn’t feature Jarvis Cocker. What it does do is recut much of the footage we’ve already seen with a bit of new stuff, and the overall effect is: “hey, remember me? Haven’t come out yet! See you in February.”
What this trailer does have, and really the reason I’m posting it, is a real deep spirit of lurid pulp appeal. I’ve been interested in seeing Shutter Island precisely because of what I’m seeing highlighted in this clip. The movie has always seemed like it would be Martin ...
Yet another new SHUTTER ISLAND trailer

Spike has got a brand-new, exclusive cut of the SHUTTER ISLAND trailer. There’s a lot of repeat from the previous two trailers, but this one really ramps up the scare-packed imagery (fire! ice! blood!). It’s a much better indication of the tone of the Dennis Lehane novel it’s based on, which is dark and eerie (and awesome), to put it mildly.
Back in August, we got word that the latest Martin Scorsese/Leonardo DiCaprio project had been pushed to a February release date, knocking it out of 2009 Oscar contention. After nerding out and reading the book, then foisting it on everyone I know, I ...
Shutter Island Third Trailer
Screen Rant —
Back in June of this year the first trailer appeared for Shutter Island, Martin Scorsese’s latest collaboration with favorite leading man, Leonardo DiCaprio. It was creepy-as-hell and solidified it on my list of most anticipated movies of 2009. Unfortunately a couple of months later news hit that Paramount had moved the release date from October 2nd this year to February 19th next year. As a movie fan - as well as a follower of daily movie news - that ranks right up there with the most annoying things to happen. ...
Third Trailer for Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island
Inside Pulse Movies —
The third trailer for Shutter Island debuted as part of Spike TV’s “Scream 2009″ It has now made its way to the Internet. Have a look-see.
In Shutter Island, a pair of U.S. Marshals (Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo) travel to a secluded island off the coast of Massachusetts to search for an escaped mental patient, uncovering a web of deception along the way.
Based on Dennis Lehane’s (Gone Baby Gone, Mystic River) novel of the same name, the ’50s-era film is directed by Martin Scorsese, the ...
3rd Shutter Island Trailer Shores Up Online, Crispin Glover's Donner Party Premieres
Premiere's Movie News and Views —
Remember your spine were tingling when the first trailer for Shutter Island surfaced over the summer? Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, mysterious old prison. Well, keep that fear in check because the release date has been postponed from October to February, 2010. Delays notwithstanding, the third trailer is out and Leonardo DiÇaprio looks even more haggard and crazy, while Ben Kingsley plays 'elegant creepy' like a harp from hell. Check out the new trailer
