Abe Vigoda and Betty White Tackle the Super Bowl Field
BuddyTV —
One of the funniest commercials in this year's Super Bowl featured Betty White ( The Golden Girls, The Bold and the Beautiful ) and Abe Vigoda ( Fish ) getting down and dirty for a game of football for a Snickers ad. "You're not you when you're hungry" was the tagline of the commercial which saw Betty White getting tackled in the mud and saying the line "That's not what your girlfriend said." Both White and Abe Vigoda are 88 years old and both veteran actors were just delightful to watch. Check out the video here:

betty-white-snickers.jpg The Super Bowl XLIV showdown between the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts is all well and good, but what about the commercials? Super Bowl ad spots cost top dollar so they had better be good. Check out some of the 2010 Super Bowl's greatest hits: Betty White, Abe Vigoda take the field for Snickers This gets a big thumbs up from us. Betty White is awesome, particularly on "That's not what your girlfriend said." And what an unexpected cameo by Abe Vigoda at the end. We weren't entirely sure Abe was still alive, so good to know! -- Compiled by Zap2it Staff Follow Zap2it on Twitter ...

9 Great Super Bowl Commercials for Movies, And Other Stuff
Film School Rejects —
Instead of watching more movies or writing about movies I’ve seen recently (I do have a From Paris with Love review coming soon, though), I watched the Super Bowl this evening. And besides being happy for the New Orleans Saints and their underdog win, I was also pretty pleased with the commercials. These expensive advertisements have become just as popular as the game itself. There were beavers playing the violin, Danica Patrick getting a massage (hot) and even a strange pro-life thing starring Tim Tebow’s mom. But there were also spots for movies — and we cover those.
So in order to ...

Super Bowl Shuffle 2010

Remember back when people would watch the Super Bowl for the commercials because the game itself was usually over by halftime? Luckily as the ads took a creative dip in recent years, the game has been thrilling thanks to David Tyree’s helmet, Pittsburg / Arizona’s dueling fourth quarter comebacks, and this year’s Peyton Manning’s interception.
Even though MVP’s always go to players, this year should have went to Sean Payton. The on-side kick out of half time is the gustiest play ever in the history of the Super Bowl. (Keep in mind had they missed it and they lost, added to the not making a fourth a goal play, he would have ...
Top 7 Super Bowl XLIV Commercials 2010
TVaholic.com —
Overall the ads during Super Bowl XLIV were pretty lackluster. Even the seven I picked below as my favorites weren’t really all that great.
The one thing I didn’t particularly care for was the number of ads that showed guys to be spineless, jerks, and cheaters, among other less than desirable characteristics. On the face of it, it just seems dumb. I mean, who do you think the largest group of people are watching the Super Bowl? It’s guys, dudes, men, males, etc. Is this the way to influence them to buy your product? Anyway, here are my favorites.

I know most people think David Letterman’s ad with his arch rival Jay Leno was the best one that aired during the Super Bowl, but my favorite was the Snickers one with Betty White and Abe Vigoda. I most liked it because we got to see that Abe Vigoda is Alive and I didn’t have to check out the ...

Besides the game I think the best part of watching the Super Bowl is the commercials. And every year I look forward to seeing what funny stuff the advertisers come up with to keep us entertained during the breaks.
I asked my Twitter & Face book friends yesterday which Super bowl commercials they like the best. And just about everybody including myself said the Doritos commercial with the little boy slapping his mama was hilarious.
When I saw that commercial it reminded me of my nephew, I swear that’s something he would do ...
