I am totally geeked out for this movie. Even the One Tree Hill-like Kirk doesn't bother me-- I mean, he's supposed to grow up to be Shatner, so it's not like over-emotive melodrama isn't a logical acting choice.

Star Trek Rakes In More Money Than Expected

Star Trek raked in around $76.5 million this weekend making it the number one movie of the weekend which was no surprise. Paramount Pictures had estimated it would bring in about $50 million on it’s opening weekend so I’m guessing they’re happy it surpassed their expectations.
This summer has a lot more action packed movies to come including Terminator: Salvation on May 21 and Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince on July 15, so it will be interesting to see which one comes out on top. X-Men Origins: Wolverine earned $85 ...
