The U.S. Movie Trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening
/Film —
An international movie trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening hit the web earlier this month, but was quickly removed by Fox. I think it might have had something to do with the unrated nature of the previous trailer (which can still be found on YouTube). I loved the “mass suicide” sequence shown in that trailer, but criticized the trailer for showing very little of the real story which involved Mark Wahlberg and his family on the run.
The official trailer has now hit the interwebs. The new trailer is more mysterious, building towards the mysterious ...

The Trailer of M. Night Shyamalan's Latest Thriller 'The Happening' Comes Out! February 15, 2008 08:33:09 GMT by Staff Writer The 20th Century Fox have released online the official trailer of M. Night Shyamalan's latest thriller " The Happening " starring Mark Wahlberg , Zooey Deschanel and Spencer Breslin. The almost-two-and-a-half-minutes video footage presents more mysterious tone if compared to the earlier teaser. The trailer brings about the mystery right from the beginning. Opening with a scene of ordinary day in which Walhberg can be seen speaking to his class about the missing of the bees, the screen suddenly ...
Official ‘The Happening’ trailer hits the web
A Mike Life —
By official, I mean this site has a highly unlikely chance of getting its hand slapped by FOX for posting illegal versions of The Happening trailer. Mainly because at this point, the trailer resides on a site that doesn’t offer up any embedding code.
I saw this trailer on Thursday when I watched Jumper, but I am not sure I enjoyed it as much as the first teaser that I was asked to take down. SlashFilm speculates that FOX freaked out over the teaser being out there because of its unrated nature and especially the mass suicide scene.
You can actually STILL watch that teaser on YouTube ...

A new trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening has arrived online, and it's much longer than the earlier teaser we got not too long ago (which has since been taken down by the studio). Here, there's less "bodies falling from the sky" and a lot more mystery; why are all the bees dying, what's going on, where did everyone go, is Mark Wahlberg really our only hope -- that sort of thing. Kinda digging Wahlberg so far from what I've seen -- this ...

"Happening" trailer Posted by Jeffrey Wells on February 15, 2008 at 08:46 AM The trailer that went up yesterday for M. Night Shyamalan 's The Happening (20th Century Fox, 6.13), which looks and feels like a return to the eerie-scary-inexplicable jolt vibe of Signs . Perhaps this time we'll be spared the religious hokum. (Thanks to HE reader Suki Jonze for the shout-out.)

New The Happening trailer
Movie Marketing Madness —
This domestic trailer for The Happening (I actually didn’t realize the first one was an international version) works a little less well, I think, than the previous installment. This one focuses more on Mark Wahlberg and his immediate group of friends and family and how they are impacted by and react to the strange events unfolding around them.
While that is going to be more “involving” for the audience in that it gives them something to connect to emotionally, it does so at the expense of a lot of the atmosphere that the earlier version had going for it.
It’s still pretty ...
"The Happening" Trailer
Film Gecko —
When I went to see “Jumper” I saw this preview for “The Happening.” It immediately got my attention because it has Mark Wahlberg in it. It also had an “I Am Legend” feel to it at first because it seemed like some sort of virus was causing people to “disappear.”
It hits theaters Friday, June 13th. I don’t know if it’s scary enough for that release date but it is made by M. Night Shyamalan. Maybe he can redeem himself after “Lady in the ...

Trailer Watch: Shyamalan's The Happening and Meirelles' Blindness
Thompson On Hollywood —
There's a certain similarity between two upcoming pics from M. Night Shyamalan (The Happening) and Fernando Meirelles (Blindness). In one, people inexplicably out of nowhere commit suicide on a grand scale (New York City); in the other an epidemic of blindness sweeps through a modern city. In both, gas masks appear to be one protection. ...
New The Happening trailer
Movie Marketing Madness —
This new trailer for The Happening, the latest movie from writer/director M. Night Shyamalan, definitely turns up the “creepy presence” factor for the movie, where other trailers have played up the “mysterious force” aspect more.
The new footage doesn’t really kick in until the last third of the spot. Prior to that we’re treated to more or less rearranged bits that we’ve already seen. The transition comes when you start hearing the explanation of “the event” and the impact it’s having on the populace.
Other than that the predominant ...
A Spooky New Trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's 'The Happening'

Filed under: Horror, Thrillers, 20th Century Fox, Movie Marketing, Trailers and Clips Despite having one of the worst reputations in Hollywood, it would appear that things are starting to look up for M. Night Shyamalan. You can check out the latest trailer Shyamalan's The Happening above, and it already has me sold on the apocalyptic thriller. Even though I was relatively impressed with the first trailer, this one has definitely amped up the creep factor (caused some serious heebie-jeebies when I saw it in ...

Yes, we all saw this trailer already when twice the population of Canada went to see Iron Man on the weekend. However now that it is online I wanted to share the full theatrical Happening trailer with you.
It really spooked me out.
M. Night Shyamalan has come back with another mystery suspense movie that we inevitably will expect a dramatic twist in. I predict that there WILL be no twist - which in itself with BE the twist. But thats just me hoping.
Does this make you want to see the movie? Or has the Sham-Hammer’s reputation already head him off at the pass.
He has been so hit ...

'The Happening' Just Ain't Happening
Socialite Life —
Technically, M. Night Shyamalan's latest attempt at horror will be happening at theaters at some point. The first reviews are out, and they leave little hope that Shyamalan was going to make a comeback after his last two crap-tastic movies Lady in the Water and The Village.
In case you can't see the movie clip right now, imagine a bunch of actors asking questions over and over again in a very unbelievable fashion.
Compared the the last two movies, this one might be worth seeing for the sole fact that it's attempt at horror will make you scream with ...

The Sixth Sense 'One of the key films of the last decade' ... Haley Joel Osment and Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense For most viewers, M Night Shyamalan arrived fully-formed in 1999, with The Sixth Sense, that year's biggest and most unexpected hit, taking more than $600m worldwide. (In fact there had been two earlier features, Praying With Anger in 1992, and 1998's Wide Awake, but these were deemed apprentice works, and quietly shunted aside in the official filmography.) One of the key films of last decade, The Sixth Sense ...
"The Happening": Preview & Trailer
Film Gecko —
Something’s happening…and Mark Wahlberg wants to know what it is. So goes the premise of this thriller from M. Night Shyamalan, about an impending apocalypse threatening to erase mankind from the face of the earth.
Rated R for violent and disturbing images, this film also stars Zooey Deschanel, John Leguizamo, Betty Buckley, and Spencer Breslin. Even though I’m not big into horror flicks, I’ll definitely be checking out Wahlberg…uh, the movie, I mean. Hits theaters tomorrow, June 13, 2008.
