Hmmm....not what I expected, but it still looks great. The Informant stars Matt Damon and opens on October 9 in the US. The trailer is via Awards Daily, check it out: ...
Steven Soderbergh’s ‘The Informant’ gets a trailer

Could be softball fun or could be an ace up WB’s sleeve. Matt Damon looks outstanding:

This The Informant! trailer plays like Steven Soderbergh's tongue-in-cheek comedic bumbling Get Smart/Inspector Clouseau version of The Insider, basically. I want to see it.

Trailer Roundup
The CineManiac —
I've got three trailers for you today. First up is the first look at the new Steven Soderberg/Matt Damon satire The Informant. The movie tells the true story of one of the largest roundups of pricefixing in American history, but seems to do so in a satirical way that pokes fun at the corporate culture. The cast looks great with the wonderful Tony Hale, Scott Bakula, and Joel McHale joining Damon. Check it out below: ...

picture-14 Here’s the trailer for the new film The Informant! starring Matt Damon . This looks pretty funny, I was skeptical about this concept until now. Cheer up, kids ... It will be Sunny in Philadelphia again!

I was beginning to wonder if FX had somehow given up on, in my book, its two best shows in the blissfully disgusting "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and the motorcycle gang drama "Sons of Anarchy." Well, thankfully, apparently not. ...
MATT DAMON IS A DORKY MIDWESTERNER
FilmDrunk.com —
The Informant is director Steven Soderbergh’s return to plot-driven comedy after a few years of smaller films like Che and The Girlfriend Experience. I generally enjoy Soderbergh movies (Out of Sight is an underappreciated classic and I even liked Solaris), and I’d probably see this one based on the Matt Damon wallpaper alone (see above).
‘The Informant’ is about Ivy League Ph.D. Mark Whitacre (Damon), a rising star at Decatur, Illinois-based Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) in the early 1990s who wound up blowing the whistle on the ...
Hey Ladies, Get A Load Of Pudgy Matt Damon
Best Week Ever —
When I first read the premise of Matt Damon and Steven Soderbergh’s new movie The Informant about a corporate whistle blower, I thought I was in for The Good Shepherd 2: Shepherd Harder or Erin Brockovich: Rise of Aaron Brockovich or something. Taking down an agricultural giant doesn’t exactly scream “rollicking good fun for the whole family.” But, judging from this trailer, we may have the comedy hit of the fall on our hands, people. After all, this movie has Tony “Buster Bluth” Hale and Scott ...

PopWatch —
New trailer for 'The Informant Exclamation Point' The IMDB page for Steven Soderbergh's next film says it's called The Informant . But its new trailer enthusiastically insists it's called The Informant ! instead. That's weird. That's weird! It was going to be a drama. Now it's a comedy! Matt Damon plays a top executive for Archer Daniels Midland who is wildly unsuited to perform any task that requires even a shred of stealth. EXCLAMATION [BULLET] POINTS RE: 'THE INFORMANT!' BTW, the exclamation point is there's, not mine. Here it is, and it looks great. This, btw, is the movie that Damon gained all that weight for and, interesting bit of trivia, he gained it all by eating corn and drinking high fructose corn syrup. Kidding. That's what the movie is about. Well, not just ...
The Informant Sure Got Wacky And Fat All Of A Sudden
Videogum —
The Informant trailer, you guys: Huh. I actually read The Informant, Kurt Eichenwald's account of Mark Whitacre enthusiastic participation in a covert FBI investigation into Archer Daniels Midland (supermarket to the world). I read it after hearing a really good episode of This American Life dedicated to Eichenwald's/Whitacre's story. You should listen to it, it's really interesting. But I don't remember it being as wacky, or as fixated on how funny moustaches can be. I also don't remember Mark Whitacre's chubbiness being one of the main ...

I think Matt Damon is more than awesome. Awesome checks itself against a picture of Matt Damon every morning to make sure its still doing its job. More awesome than Ewoks. Ask John.
Anyways, his latest film project is called The Informant! (which comes with its own exclamation point) and I just can’t wait to see it.
IMDB writes it as:
Based on Kurt Eichenwald’s 2000 book, “The Informant” is the tale of Mark Whitacre (played by Matt Damon), an Ivy League Ph.D. who was a rising star at Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) in the early 1990s. The bipolar hero wound up blowing the ...
THE INFORMANT Trailer - THE INSIDER Meets Funny
Hollywood Hills —
I really didn’t know what to think of Matt Damon’s film “The Informant” when I first heard about the based-on-a-true-story flick. Someone should have mentioned this was going to be a comedy, a pretty funny looking comedy at that. I really thought we were getting yet another boring whistle-blower movie like “The Insider.” Definitely not like that. And hey! There’s Joel McHale!
The government decides to go after an agri-business giant with a price-fixing accusation, based on the evidence submitted by their star ...
The Informant! - Trailer
Movie Moron —
The trailer for Steven Soderbergh’s new project, The Informant! is online.
The film is based on the 2000 non fiction book The Informant by journalist Kurt Eichanwald and tells the real-life story of Mark Whitacre (Matt Damon), a whistle-blowing executive who informed on the dirty tricks of the agricultural company he worked for. The case was unusual, what with Whitacre having manic depression and the numerous twists and turns, so it’s easy to see the film prospect in it.
It’s interesting to see Soderbergh, a man ...
The Informant! trailer: here's something worth exclaiming about
Film | guardian.co.uk —
The trailer for Steven Soderbergh's film about an agribusiness whistleblower played by Matt Damon makes the film look great, so why does he have to resort to the egregious exclamation marks? Just how many exclamations does a film need to contain, or provoke, before you put an exclamation mark after its name? Perhaps if we ...
