First Teaser Trailer for Frank Miller's The Spirit!
Published 4/19/2008 by Alex Billington at FirstShowing.net
The very first teaser trailer for Frank Miller's adaptation of Will Eisner's The Spirit has finally debuted. I think Frank Miller has got this down. I love the feeling, I love the look to this, the music, everything. I don't know why anyone doubted Frank Miller to begin with? This feels like 300 and Sin ...

The Spirit trailer and two teaser posters
Published 4/20/2008 by Chris at Movie Marketing Madness
True to their word, Lionsgate has revealed the first teaser trailer, as well as two posters for their comics adaptation The Spirit at the New York Comic-Con this weekend. Let’s deal with the posters first. The first is a very, very cool teaser one-sheet for the movie that does yeoman’s work in setting the gritty - but slick - noir feeling for the movie. The black and white look of it are right out of not only the source comic but Philip Marlow stories, with the cityscapes and just general look and feel on display here. It carries over the “My City Screams” copy point that has been used in the ...

Frank Miller’s The Spirit Movie Trailer Screams
Published 4/20/2008 by Neil Miller at Film School Rejects
There doesn’t seem to be anything slowing the momentum of the upcoming (and by upcoming, I mean January of 2009) release The Spirit, from director Frank Miller. Yes, the same Frank Miller who is responsible for writing the source material behind such epic films as Sin City and ...

“The Spirit” teaser hits the web
Published 4/20/2008 by Mike at Pop Critics
The Spirit hype, while still aways off from its January 2009 release date, is starting to heat up. Just today Jason posted the official teaser poster for the movie, and now the teaser has been released and it’s pretty cool. You can see it below, thanks to Trailer Addict (which has to put out some of the best quality embedded trailers anywhere). The Spirit, as Jason said, is a former rookie police officer who returns mysteriously from the dead to fight crime in the shadows of Central City. His arch-enemy is the Octopus, played by Samuel L. Jackson, and he has a different mission: to wipe out Spirit’s ...

See The First Teaser Trailer For 'The Spirit'
Published 4/20/2008 by Vic Holtreman at Screen Rant
Right on the heels of the first poster for the film, below you'll get your first real look at the upcoming Frank Miller film The Spirit. This one looks to have a very film noir look and suprisingly (to me) looks very similar in style to Sin City. I really expected a completely different look ...

Published 4/20/2008 by Hollywood Insider at Entertainment Weekly's Hollywood Insider
In terms of headcount and sheer star power, New York Comic Con is hardly akin to San Diego yet. Still, year 3 marks the first time Hollywood has finally started to dip its tentative toes into these here nerd waters. Highlights from a few of Saturday's presentations: The Dark Knight: DC Comics publisher Paul Levitz introduced, to ...

The Spirit teaser trailer online
Published 4/20/2008 at Filmstalker
TheSpirit-Posters.jpg Frank Miller's big screen adaptation of Will Eisner's comic book hero The Spirit has a teaser trailer, and while it doesn't reveal anything about the film it shows us two very important things. One is the style of the film, and the other is how The Spirit is going to be moving through the city. It looks cool, but I can't help but feel a little let down by it. The story has the new policeman Denny Colt murdered and then born again in the form of The Spirit ...

Eva Mendes' crazy powers activate at Comic Con
Published 4/21/2008 at The Superficial - Because You're Ugly
Eva Mendes stopped by the New York Comic Con on Saturday to promote her upcoming movie The Spirit directed by comics legend Frank Miller. If all that information is new to you, congratulations, you probably don't quietly cry alone in your room surrounded by Star Wars action figures. Uh, like my roommate. Not me. Wait, who moved Lando? But moving on, Eva apparently went batshit in front of a bunch of dorks and reader Ryan was there with the exclusive scoop: My friends and I were at New York Comic Con Saturday, and one of the big attractions was the afternoon appearance by Eva Mendes and Frank Miller to promote their upcoming ...

Haven't I Heard This Somewhere Before? (The Spirit Teaser Trailer)
Published 4/21/2008 by Craig Beilinson at Craig's MovieBlog
Unfortunately, I couldn't have been less impressed by the new teaser for The Spirit.  The visuals don't seem to bring anything new to the table, using what seems to be exactly the same technology that Sin City used, and the music... well, didn't anyone else see The Untouchables? I mean, I ...

A Weird Full Trailer for 'The Spirit'
Published 7/15/2008 by Eugene Novikov at Cinematical
Filed under: Lionsgate Films, Comic/Superhero/Geek, Trailers and ClipsFrank Miller's The Spirit just took a turn for the bizarre. The full trailer is up at Film School Rejects, at least for now (the teaser is here, permanently), and it makes the movie look downright avant-garde. The accompanying Rejects blog post calls the look and feel of the film "forced," and I have to agree, even as I recognize that it's not fair to make such a judgment from a promotional clip. But then the post also badmouths Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, at which point it lost me. Anyhow, ...
