There are some previews for horror movies that look pretty scary, but I know I could probably sit through them and be okay. In fact, I feel that way about most of them, although The Ring was pretty freaky looking. I did see it, but it took two sittings.

This new trailer for The Strangers leaves me completely cold. It’s a by-the-numbers affair that primarily is meant to sell the idea that Liv Tyler can scream real goods as axes coming down on doorways and masked weirdos pop up out of nowhere. There’s no real sense of the plot, other than that said weirdos are tormenting the perfectly happy couple of Tyler and Scott Speedman, but then again that may be all the plot there really is.
It’s probably going to appeal to the audience that longs for the return of old-school horror flicks where people go off into the woods and are tormented as opposed to younger folks who like all the ...
