HBO has released a new trailer for Season 5 of "The Wire," kicked off with a great line from Mayor Carcetti: "It's Baltimore... no one lives forever."  Plus, after the jump, one of my favorite scenes, in which McNulty and Bunk discuss a murder scene using only the f-word.

Just FYI, if you have Charter digital cable, you can catch the first episode of the new season of The Wire on demand. You might be able to with other types of digital cable as well (assuming there are other types of digital cable, but I wouldn't know. It's been a while since I've dealt with anything other than Charter. I caught it the other day, while most of you, I would imagine, were out getting sloshed and sweating bullets trying to drive home without catching a DUI. The Wire, which returns tonight, ought to clinch the argument.
