Bitten and Bound —
Last year Kanye West launched a music video for his song “Touch the Sky” in which he took on Evel Knievel’s persona and is depicted trying to jump a canyon on a rocket powered motorcycle. Evel Knievel promptly slapped the singer with a lawsuit.

Run DMC Two turntables and a microphone ... Back to school with Run DMC. Photograph: Catherine Shaw A Guardian music blog last week questioned whether it is right for "authentic" hip-hop artists to have their lyrics ghostwritten in the style of most pop stars. Well, the music is often borrowed so why not borrow the lyrics too? It's an interesting topic, especially when such musical borrowing can often surpass the original. But how does this happen? Lupe Fiasco) and lays it over a cut-up of Justice's remix of MGMT's "Electric Feel". As far as I can tell, there was no involvement whatsoever from Will Oldham, Diplo, or Hot Chip, which is in itself notable. But ...

As I'm sure, you all have heard that over the weekend, beloved rapper, Lupe Fiasco was pretty damn heated. According to his blog, the powers that be decided to push his heavily aniticpated, 3-disk album back indefinitely. Being the industry insider that I am, I found this to be pretty weird. For the fact that Atlantic is pretty much a graveyard, along with Def Jam, they should have probably been happy to release this triology-set closing to Lupe's career. In all actuality, they should have ...
