Some time ago my good friend Peter from /Film saw 45-minutes or so of the film at a special event in Los Angeles, and he came away from it making some light complaints about a certain element involving some talking dogs or something. Disney has released a new trailer for Pixar’s Up which finally shows us the talking dog. Yes, a talking dog… One of the surprises in Pixar’s recent presentation of the first 45-minutes of Up was the addition of a gigantic rainbow colored bird and more specifically the addition of a pack of dogs who wear colars that allow them to speak like humans. But the new trailer lets the cat out of the bag, which is definitely the right thing to do.

Pixar’s latest is Up, the story of a reclusive 78-year old man who hoists his house off the ground with balloons and flies away — only to discover that he’s accidentally brought along a portly, over eager stowaway. It looks like Pixar has done it again, an amusing premise and a host of endearing characters, but I would’ve kept the trailer gully with an all too appropriate Styles P track.
