usher - moving mountains [link 2] [ok, i'm probably going to get some hate commentary for this next statement, but i don't hear a song here. all i hear is 'MOOOVING MOUNTAINS' and 'LEAVE ME BE. JUST LEAVE ME BEEEEEE' over and over again with a bit of babbling in between. thank goodness the arrangement of the song by timbaland (both vocal and musical) is interesting and gorgeously layered. taken from the upcoming album here i stand] ...

Wreckage! Rain! Snow! Wind! Possibly overextended metaphors that liken broken relationships to hurricanes and the Great Depression! The video for Usher's "Moving Mountains," the second single from Here I Stand, has all this and a perhaps-unwitting homage to Madonna's video for "Frozen" (around the 1:30 mark). And it also has a marketing campaign involving rumors about Usher and his wife, Tameka Raymond, splitting after just nine months of wedded bliss! Looks like someone's getting a big bonus just in time for the long weekend... [YouTube / E!] ...

So Usher’s new album, “Here I Stand”, drops this Tuesday, and we’ve gotten our hands on a copy and have given it a few listens. We can’t say we’ve ever been huge Usher fans, so don’t feel entirely qualified to review this album, but so far it’s sounding nice, overall a pretty safe album…there’s nothing that strikes our fancy as much as Burn or Confessions Pt.2 from his massive album “Confessions” but we’ve only listened to this album once or twice.
